CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS​

While roughly 12-18 credit hours each area of study are intended to be offered, a minimum of 12 credit hours is required to receive a certificate. Additionally, 3-6 credit hours of Summer Policy Action Research via the Center for Research, Policy and Innovation (CRPI) may be counted towards the requirements of each of the 12 certificate programs).

While students can complete a certificate program in as short as one semester, the maximum allowable time to complete a certificate is 2 years. (Note: actual course implementation in a particular semester depends on the number of students enrolled and the instructor’s availability for that particular semester. 300-600 level courses are designed for college juniors and seniors (e.g. college 3rd or final year) or graduate students, while 100-200 level courses are generally intended for recent high school graduates or college students in their first or second year who wish to continue their higher education towards bachelor’s degree programs.
